Many people think barrel racing is easy, but they are sadly mistaken. It takes years to master the proper techniques in order to win. Dedication is the most important thing. You need to have a strong relationship with your horse and lots of practice. When people say its not a tough sport, it just sounds ignorant. Girls fall off, get stepped or stomped on, hit a barrel, a fence, or be dragged by their horse.
